Iron Forge ("we," "our," "the app") is a strength-training logger. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and the choices you have — including how to delete your account and data (see Delete Your Account & Data).
When you create an account, we collect your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your Google account's name and email. Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication — we never see or store your password in plain text.
Everything you log in the app: exercises, sets, reps, weights, personal records, custom equipment (bars, bands, chains, gear), and bodyweight entries. This is the core data the app exists to store, and it's used only to power your own dashboards, charts, and history.
If you use Iron Forge's optional social features, we store the data those features require: friend connections, coach–athlete relationships, workouts you share with another user, and reactions ("fist bumps") on shared workouts. This is only collected if you choose to use these features.
If you subscribe to Iron Forge Pro, your subscription status is tracked via RevenueCat, tied to your account ID. Payment itself is handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play — we never receive or store your payment card details.
If you allow notifications, we store a device push token so we can deliver things like rest-timer alerts, friend requests, coaching invites, and PR celebrations. This token is not personally identifying on its own.
We use Sentry to catch crashes and errors, which can include your device model, OS version, app version, and a stack trace describing what the app was doing when something went wrong. This is used solely to find and fix bugs.
If you submit feedback through Settings > Support, your message, account email, and account ID are sent to our development team (via a private channel) and stored so we can follow up.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
We use a small number of service providers to run the app. Each only receives what it needs to do its job:
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Iron Forge, our users, or the public.
We retain your account and workout data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your profile and workout data are permanently deleted — see Delete Your Account & Data for exactly what that covers. Subscription and purchase records may be retained by Apple or Google per their own policies, outside of our control.
Iron Forge is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
We use industry-standard practices (Firebase Authentication, access-controlled databases) to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
